Graham grew up in Southern Ontario before heading west to Whistler, where he embraced mountain life through skiing, biking, rugby, and, eventually, meeting his future wife over shared adventures and great wine. Raised in British Columbia, Lyndsay had long recognized the exceptional grape-growing potential of the Okanagan Valley and developed her own passion for winemaking early on. When the couple welcomed their first child, they knew the Okanagan offered the perfect place to grow both a family and a winery dream. What began as formal studies in vineyard management quickly became a shared life path, leading them to New Zealand for advanced training in viticulture and oenology — an experience that shaped their philosophy and future.
Graduating with honors from Lincoln University, Lyndsay and Graham returned to the Okanagan in 2007 and settled on the Naramata Bench. Since then, both have dedicated themselves to refining their craft. Lyndsay transitioned from snowboarding boots to vineyard boots and quickly built a reputation as an award-winning winemaker at Ruby Blues Winery from 2009 to 2014, including Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for Viognier in both 2012 and 2014. Today, she focuses full-time on Tightrope Winery, crafting expressive, award-winning wines in the Tightrope facility.
Graham brought his expertise to Mission Hill Winery as a lead viticulturist, managing diverse vineyard sites and translating years of study into hands-on excellence. In 2012, he left Mission Hill to focus on the family’s own 10-acre Fleet Road Vineyard on the Naramata Bench, where his passion for farming continues to shape every vintage.
True to their belief in balance, Lyndsay has participated in regional triathlons, while Graham enjoys sponsoring local rugby teams and taking part in community softball and volleyball leagues. Their Fleet Road Vineyard is not only home to the vines, but also the place where their two boys have grown up and call home — shared with a lively cast of farm animals and are sure to be seen on the next Vineyard Dogs of the Okanagan Calendar!
Lyndsay and Graham look forward to welcoming you and sharing their lifelong dedication to wines that are truly worth walking a tightrope for.
