This single vineyard wine comes from the Rubis Family Vineyard, on the Naramata Bench.  This is a young vineyard that is gently sloping and west facing.  It produces a bright, fruit-forward Pinot Noir that is very indicative of the Naramata Bench. The grapes are hand-picked.

The grapes are processed immediately: de-stemmed, but not crushed, directly into small half-ton fermenters where they were cold soaked for five days before a wild ferment commenced.   In total, the grapes spent about 21 days on skins before being pressed.  The wine was aged in French Oak barrels, 30% new, for 10 months before being bottled.
